Which antimicrobials are being developed for use in the food industry, how will they be used, and how will they be regulated?
There have been rapid technological developments with different antimicrobial systems in recent years, covering
- Product washing
- Incorporation into packaging
- Incorporation into food contact surfaces
- Nanotechnology
- Natural preservatives
This seminar will look at each of these areas of development, as well as the complex topic of how antimicrobial use is regulated. Case studies will address specific antimicrobials and their potential to prolong quality shelf life and reduce food poisoning.
The ttz Bremerhaven will be represented by Ewa Pacholewicz who gives a presentation on "Natural antimicrobials in food packaging technologies to avoid loss of perishable food".
The registration fee amounts to £295+ VAT for BRI members and for non-members to £385+ VAT.
More information about the seminar and attendence can be found here.
